Hello! My name is Emily Davis, and I run Shortcake’s. People sometimes ask how I got started baking, and the truth is that I’ve loved making sweets since I was a kid. I’ve always loved crafting and working with my hands, but around 2018 I began to be a more avid home baker, and started challenging myself to learn more. I was working in an office for a little while, but I was laid off in 2019. I then had an opportunity to work in a bakery for the first time. I began to focus on learning as much as I can about the culinary arts and the science of baking. I’ve worked in several bakeries and restaurants around the city, and want to use the skills I’ve acquired to make your special day even better with a custom treat you’ll love.
